Architectural Standard Glass

VALKON offers Low-E coating Glass to minimize the amount of ultraviolet and infrared light that can pass through glass, without compromising the amount of visible light that is transmitted. When heat or light energy is absorbed by glass, it is either shifted away by moving air or re-radiated by the glass surface.

The ability of a material to radiate energy is known as emissivity. Energy efficiency and aesthetic sensibility go hand-in-hand. VALKON’s THERMO Ultra creates bright, energy-efficient rooms for living and working, providing continuous comfort and beauty throughout all seasons of the year.

The IG product “secret” is a virtually transparent coating that contributes to significant energy savings in buildings. Low-E stands for low emissivity, or the heat-reflective property of the glass. Using THERMO Ultra, heat loss through the windows is reduced while outside light flows into the building.

Low-E technology is applied to both double and triple-glazed windows. Specifically, Low-E has these characteristics:

+ excellent insulation values (Ug values)
+ unparalleled light transmission
+ advanced color neutrality (Ra value)
